Job summary

Sanctuary Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse Program Director to oversee our Chicago hospice program. The role leads operations, growth, and quality of care, with emphasis on external relationships, financial stewardship, and patient-centered service.

You will ensure regulatory compliance and guide local office affairs under senior management, delivering compassionate end-of-life care while managing daily operations and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, health care, or business administration preferred.
• Registered Nurse with a current state license to practice in Illinois.
• Minimum of two years' experience in health care management, home health, hospice, or related health programs.
• Two years of hospice experience with knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and related regulations.
• Operations or sales leadership experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships in communities served and within the company.
• Experience in analyzing processes and managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Forge strong connections with physicians, hospitals, nursing facilities, and other partners to extend reach.
• Build and orient a qualified team, ensuring training and evaluation.
• Oversee administrative functions and local operations of the hospice program.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead day-to-day management and operations of the hospice program with a focus on quality care.
• Implement policies and procedures approved by the governing body.
