Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice is hiring an RN for IPU services on a full-time night shift at our Franklin, OH location. The role involves direct patient care in the IPU, with potential float to other hospice houses as needed and a rotating weekend/holiday schedule.

Ideal candidates hold an Ohio RN license, 2 years of acute care experience, CPR, and are committed to ongoing hospice/palliative care education; CHPN preferred and required within two years of employment. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio without board actions.
• Two years acute care nursing experience preferred.
• CHPN certification preferred; required within two years of employment (eligible after 500 hours hospice/palliative).
• CPR certification.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ASN or BSN preferred.
• Computer skills sufficient to properly document services.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• State minimum automobile insurance coverage.

What You Should Know About the RN Hospice IPU position:

This is a Full-Time night shift 7pm, 7:30am position at our Dayton Hospice House but could float to our Troy & Middletown Hospice House IPU's as needed; this position has every 3rd weekend rotation and every other holiday rotation

Qualifications of this role:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio without any board actions.
• Two years acute care nursing experience preferred
• Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred; required within two years of employment. (Eligible upon completion of 500 hours in last 12 months of hospice/palliative experience.)CPR Certified
• Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.
• Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
• Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
• State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage
