Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice is seeking a Hospice IPU RN for night shift (7pm-7:30am) in Dayton, with float to Troy and Middletown IPUs as needed. This full-time role focuses on direct patient care in end-of-life settings.

You'll deliver care using the nursing process, interact with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, and contribute to a compassionate, high-quality care environment. Ohio’s Hospice offers competitive pay, benefits, and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• RN graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• Active RN license in Ohio without board actions.
• Two years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• CHPN preferred; required within two years of employment (eligible after 500 hospice/palliative hours).
• Computer skills sufficient to document services.
• Ability to drive day/night/inclement weather.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• State minimum automobile insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, evaluation).
• Interact effectively with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Hospice IPU RN – Making every moment matter

• This is a Full Time night shift position, 7pm-7:30am with every 3rd weekend rotation and every other holiday rotation. Located at our Hospice of Dayton IPU but will float to our Troy and Middletown IPU as needed.
• We provide superior care and superior service to patients at their end-of-life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

As a Hospice RN you will plan and deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interact with patients, families and other interdisciplinary team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end-of-life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

Hospice RN Qualifications:

RN's - Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio without any board actions. Two years of acute care nursing experience preferred.

• CPR Certified
• Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred; required within two years of employment. (Eligible upon completion of 500 hours in last 12 months of hospice/palliative experience.)
• Computer skills are sufficient to properly document services and care.
• Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
• Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
• State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage
