Job summary

Ohio S Hospice Inc is seeking a Hospice Aide for full-time night shifts in Dayton, OH. The role involves 7pm–7:30am with weekend/holiday rotation, providing compassionate care at our Dayton Hospice House IPU and covering Troy/Middletown IPUs as needed.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to enhance quality of life for patients and support families, documenting care in EMR and complying with background/drug screening requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurse Aide (preferred; internal training available).
• Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse Aide (CHPNA) certification preferred.
• Proficient computer skills with EMR/documentation.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a safe driving record and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and 10-panel drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic care.
• Document patient care in electronic medical records.
• Provide compassionate care and support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team; cover Dayton, Troy and Middletown IPUs as needed.

Hospice Aide FT night shift

IPU Full Time Direct Patient Care Dayton, OH, US

This is a Full Time night shift position, 7pm-7:30am with every other weekend/holiday rotation. This position is located at our Dayton Hospice House IPU and will also cover our Troy/Middletown Hospice House IPU's when needed as well.

As a Hospice PCS, you will play a vital role in enhancing quality of life for patients and supporting families during some of their most important moments. Working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team, you'll deliver compassionate care that brings comfort, dignity, and peace.

Qualifications of this role:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Nurse Aide (preferred, but will train internally)
• Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse Aide (CHPNA) certification preferred. Ohio's Hospice supports professional growth and offers opportunities for eligible employees to obtain certification.
