Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Manager, Clinical Hospice to provide oversight of all hospice personnel and patient care services in Indiana. The role emphasizes compliance, quality, and safe delivery of care with state nursing practice alignment.

The position requires current RN licensure, strong leadership, and collaboration with the Medical Director to guide care and ensure positive patient outcomes while managing field operations and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Three years of RN hospice experience.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer focus.
• Ability to remain calm and patient with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality and safe delivery of hospice services across patient length of stay.
• Coach and support hospice care staff.
• Collaborate with Medical Director to guide care and ensure compliance.
• Meet/exceed quality indicators for staff qualifications and services.
• Direct intake processes and balance referral volume with staffing.
• Ensure Start of Care compliance and monitor outcomes.
• Implement field quality improvement programs.
• Participate in on-call rotation and manage on-call calendar.
• Handle staffing needs including PTO and productivity reviews.
• Conduct field visits and manage cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with billing on authorizations and exceptions.
• Maintain relationships with referral sources.
• Oversee monthly IDG meetings and review documentation for compliance.
• Process complaints and escalate staffing issues.
• Maintain RN license and participate in in-service development.
• Serve as backup Director of Nursing when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
