AdventHealth in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and administer medications following physician orders and hospital protocols.

The role requires an RN license, BLS certification, and 1+ year of acute care experience preferred. A strong emphasis on teamwork, documentation, and patient education is essential for delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be an RN with active license.
• BLS certification required; other certifications preferred.
• AT LEAST 1+ acute care hospital experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocol.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care.
• Document patient information and care activities accurately.
• Evaluate and adjust care plans to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are met.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate nursing tasks as needed.
• Engage in performance improvement activities.
