Job summary

Firelands Health in Ohio is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide direct patient care, implement the nursing process, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe discharge.

You will perform assessments, monitor treatment plans, document care, instruct patients and families, respond to emergencies, and maintain equipment and environments. Ohio RN license and CPR are required; at least 1 year of experience is preferred, with ongoing professional development encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care.
• Prefer at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• NRP and Basic EKG required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Fetal Monitoring and Stable course required within 1 year.
• Board certification preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills, and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment
• Demonstrate service excellence and ACE – Attitude, Commitment, Enthusiasm. Act as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
