Job summary

Firelands Health is seeking an experienced RN to join our nursing team in Sandusky. You will implement the nursing process, carry out physician orders, and coordinate care to ensure safety and quality for our patients.

We require an Ohio RN license and CPR, with preference for 1 year of experience and current PALS/ACLS/TNCC. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential in a patient-centered, not-for-profit hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Prefer at least 1 year of experience.
• Current PALS, ACLS, Basic EKG, and TNCC required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
