Job summary

Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH is seeking a registered nurse to join our patient-centered team. You will implement nursing care per physicians orders, monitor patients, document care plans, and support safe discharge.

Requires Ohio RN license and CPR; preferred 1 year of bedside experience; certifications PALS, ACLS, TNCC/Basic EKG within 6 months of hire; strong organizational and communication skills; team-focused environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must have an Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care.
• Prefer at least 1 year of experience.
• PALS, ACLS, Basic EKG, and TNCC required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
