Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for a day shift in Shawnee, KS. You will lead comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate across teams to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license with an Associate's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred) and have 1+ year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• Associates degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
