Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift. You will adhere to medication safety policies, maintain professional rapport with physicians, patients, and families, and evaluate the nursing care plan. This role requires teamwork, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

Minimum 2+ years in acute care, Associate degree in Nursing, and active RN license (NCLEX). Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing is required.
• 2+ years of acute care experience.
• Active NCLEX pass letter and/or active license required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to medication safety policies.
• Maintains professional rapport with physicians, patients, and families.
• Evaluates the nursing plan of care.
• Communicates patient responses to the medical nursing plan to team members.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Demonstrates accurate documentation and monitoring.
• Supports quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Follows isolation guidelines and handwashing policies.
• Performs assigned duties for smooth department operation.
• Completes mandatory educational requirements.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
• Records and accesses patient information in EMR.
• Sets and achieves patient goals based on assessment and diagnosis.
• Assists providers with bedside procedures.
