The role supports post-hospital planning and family teaching. Requirements include an active RN license, BLS certification, and ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state where the hospital resides or compact licensure
• Current BLS certification is required
• Evidence of ACLS certification within 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct, and supervise patient care using the nursing process
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and plan/discharge patients
• Provide patient and family teaching and access community resources; may serve as Charge Nurse with ACLS certification
