Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse on the Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit for night shifts. You will provide patient care using the nursing process, coordinate with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality.

The unit cares for COPD, respiratory failure, pneumonia and stroke/TIA patients, with telemetry support and tele-neuro as needed. Must have RN licensure and BLS, with a nursing degree (AD, Diploma, or BSN).

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN licensure in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and maintain accountability.
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
