Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to provide specialized care in the Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit during the night shift. The role involves direct patient care, assessments and care coordination with multiple departments, while upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification required or completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
• Performs duties consistent with Mercy mission and standards.
