Job summary

The General Surgery Team at Trinity Health MI in Ann Arbor is seeking a full-time registered nurse to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center. The role covers both scrub and circulating positions with on-call and weekend/holiday rotations.

All levels of nursing experience are encouraged to apply; candidates must be BSN-eligible and hold a Michigan nursing license with BLS certification. Comprehensive benefits start Day One and include tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited nursing program.
• BSN within five years from date of hire or transfer to an RN role.
• Current Michigan Nursing License
• BLS certification

Responsibilities

• View patients holistically; considers physical, psychosocial, emotional, age specific, cultural and spiritual factors.
• Demonstrate critical thinking by gathering and analyzing patient information, then responding to a patient situation.
• Develop, implement, evaluate and revise an individualized plan of care using evidenced based interventions and standards of care.
• Identify needs and begin to plan for care across the continuum considering patient and family preferences.
• Identify patient and family education needs; develop teaching plans and use teach-back methods.
• Create an environment that promotes a positive patient experience.
• Communicate information accurately and timely (EMR) to colleagues during rounds and handoffs.
• Maintain good rapport and cooperate, address conflicts constructively and participate in resolutions.
