Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics is seeking a Clinical Nurse for the General Medical Unit in Salem, OR. This full-time, 36-hour/week role offers 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am and requires BSN/MSN or ADN/Diploma with a commitment to upgrade.

Qualifications

BSN or MSN required or ADN/Diploma with commitment to complete BSN/MSN within 3 years.
Current BLS certification.
Current unencumbered RN license to practice nursing in Oregon.
One year of RN staff nurse experience.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive, age-appropriate assessments and communicate findings to the healthcare team.
Develop individualized care plans considering medical, cultural, social, and developmental factors.
Deliver nursing interventions in line with policies and patient needs and care goals, including emergency response.
Involve patients and families in care, promote self-care, and support education based on learning readiness.
Accurately document all aspects of patient care, assessments, interventions, education, and outcomes.
Communicate clearly using SBAR and provide timely updates to the team.
Demonstrate leadership through evidence-based practice and mentoring.
