Job summary

Salem Health in Salem Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for the General Medical Unit on a full-time, non-exempt schedule with 12-hour shifts.

You will perform assessments, develop care plans, administer interventions, educate patients and families, document care, and collaborate via SBAR, with leadership opportunities.

BSN/MSN preferred; ADN/diploma with BSN/MSN within three years; Oregon RN license; BLS; 1 year RN experience.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN; ADN with commitment to complete BSN/MSN within three years
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Current unencumbered RN licensure in Oregon
• One year of RN staff nurse experience

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive, age-appropriate assessments and communicate findings to the healthcare team.
• Develop individualized care plans considering medical, cultural, social, and developmental factors.
• Deliver nursing interventions in alignment with policies and patient needs, including emergency response.
• Involve patients and families in care, promote self-care, and support education based on learning readiness.
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care, including assessments, interventions, education, and outcomes.
• Communicate clearly using SBAR and coordinate with the team.
