Job summary

Recovery Centers of America in Danvers, MA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time days or nights. You will conduct intake interviews, plan and provide nursing care, and work with a multidisciplinary team to support patients through detoxification and recovery.

This role requires an active MA RN license, willingness to work rotating weekends, and comfort with CIWA/COWS assessments. RCA offers competitive pay, shift differentials, and comprehensive benefits to support staff.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Massachusetts.
• Experience in behavioral health preferred.
• Familiarity with CIWA/COWS assessments preferred.
• Availability to work rotating weekends (Sat/Sun).

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients to gather case history.
• Plan and provide nursing care for patients.
• Collaborate with team to create a therapeutic environment with de-escalation and therapeutic communication.
• Monitor patients during detox using CIWA/COWS and vital signs; administer meds as ordered.
• Consult with medical and behavioral health staff on treatment plans.
• Prepare paperwork and medications for patients discharging next shift.
• Administer and document reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications.
• Arrange further medical attention when necessary.
