Job summary

Mid Jeff Extended Care Hosptial in Beaumont, TX seeks an RN to provide direct patient care and oversee care provided by LVNs and CNAs, following individualized care plans.

Job description

Position Purpose:

The RN is responsible for:

• Providing direct patient care to patients
• Supervising care treatment and services of patient care provided by LVN'S and CNA’s
• Following an individual plan of care for each patient
• Assessment and re-assessment of patients
• Communicating appropriate information with the interdisciplinary team
• Reporting patient concerns and changes in condition to supervisor and/or physician in a timely manner

Positon Requirements:

License or Certification:

• Current Texas State licensure as a RN
• CPR Certification, ACLS Certification

Total Education, Vocational Training and Experience:

• One year experience in a comprehensive medical/surgical hospital setting preferred
• Critical care experience in a hospital setting preferred

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English
• Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions and meet deadlines in a detailed-oriented manner
• Ability to communicate effectively in both writing and verbal arenas
