Job summary

Horizons Care Center, part of Volunteers of America National Services, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver direct resident care and lead shift routines.

You will use the nursing process to plan and provide care, document assessments, and supervise staff in the assigned unit.

Qualifications

• Current license as a Registered Nurse in Colorado.
• CPR certification is required.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents using the nursing process.
• Plan and direct shift routines in the assigned unit and supervise staff.
• Maintain charting, documentation and assessments.
• Participate in committees to support interdisciplinary care.

Pay Range:$37.00 - $43.50 per hour based on experience. PLUS $2.75 per hour with NIGHT SHIFT differential.

Schedule:FT NIGHTS 6pm-6am; 72 hours per pay period.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Current licensure in the state of Colorado as a Registered Nurse
• Current CPR Certification
• Experience in long-term care preferred

What You’ll Be Responsible For

The Registered Nurse is to utilize the nursing process in planning and providing direct care to residents as assigned. The nurse will plan, direct and carry out shift routines in assigned nursing unit and observe, direct and evaluate the activities of personnel as the person “in charge” according to the Nurse Practice Act. Will assume “Building Charge” responsibilities as directed by the DON or Designee. Provides leadership and direction in the assigned unit. Resident Care Functions. Charting, Documentation and Assessment Functions. Serve on, participate in and attend various committees and meetings of the facility to enhance interdisciplinary process. Other duties as assigned.
