Job summary

Horizons Care Center, a community of Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS), is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct resident care and lead nursing tasks. You will plan shifts, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality care in a 3-day workweek schedule (Thu, Sat, Sun, 6am-6pm).

Current Colorado RN license and CPR certification are required. LTC experience is preferred, and VOANS offers a comprehensive benefits package and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Colorado.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care using the nursing process.
• Plan, direct and execute shift routines in assigned unit.
• Observe, direct and evaluate activities of personnel as acting charge nurse.
• Participate in committees/meetings to enhance interdisciplinary processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $39 - $46.50 per hour based on experience.

Schedule: 3 days per week (Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) 6am-6pm

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Current licensure in the state of Colorado as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

The Registered Nurse is to utilize the nursing process in planning and providing direct care to residents as assigned. The nurse will plan, direct and carry out shift routines in assigned nursing unit and observe, direct and evaluate the activities of personnel as the person “in charge” according to the Nurse Practice Act. Will assume “Building Charge” responsibilities as directed by the DON or Designee.

• Provides leadership and direction in the assigned unit.
• Resident Care Functions.
• Charting, Documentation and Assessment Functions.

• Serve on, participate in and attend various committees and meetings of the facility to enhance interdisciplinary process.
• Other duties as assigned.
