Job summary

Valley Regional Medical Center in Harlingen, TX, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Free Standing ED (FSED). Qualifications

• ACLS and BCLS required.
• ENPC within 1 year of start date.
• PALS for Pediatric Acute Life Support.
• TNCC trauma nursing certification preferred.
• RN license in good standing and nursing degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly and manages pain relief.
• Performs procedures and documents care in the medical record.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, treatments and follow-up care.
