Valley Regional Medical Center in Harlingen, TX is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team and physicians.

The position requires 2 years of ED experience, RN license, and certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC within specified timeframes. Valley Regional offers comprehensive benefits and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license; licensed in Texas.
• At least 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
• ACLS within 90 days of start date.
• BLS certification.
• PALS within 1 year of start date.
• TNCC within 1 year of start date.

Responsabilités

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments.
• Performs procedures and documents care in the patient medical record.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs.
• Teaches patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures—diet, exercise, prevention, self-management.
