Job summary

Villa Healthcare seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join Father Murray, A Villa Center. The RN will provide licensed care to residents, assess and implement care plans, and document responses, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Nursing Degree or diploma from an accredited College or University.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Registered Nurse.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Long-Term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Provides and receives nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
• Ensures assigned work area is maintained clean and sanitary.
• Directs and supervises day-to-day CNA services for assigned unit to ensure care complies with standards.
• Takes and records residents' blood pressure and vital signs; administers catheter care and IV therapy as ordered.
• Receives and transcribes physician orders to charts and MARs.
• Prepares and administers medications and performs treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Charts nurses notes reflecting care provided and resident response.
• Counts all controlled drugs with another nurse at shift change and reports discrepancies.
• Ensures environment is free from hazards; addresses safety risks as warranted.
• Makes written and oral reports/recommendations concerning shift activities.
• Admits, transfers and/or discharges residents to meet individual needs and safety.
