Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks an RN Float to coordinate patient care within our nursing model. You will assess patients, plan and adjust personalized care, and guide interventions to ensure safe transitions and outcomes. You will delegate tasks based on guidelines, patient needs, and team abilities.

Your professionalism and experience help you advise on care plans, support diverse populations, and contribute to ongoing improvements in patient care within our system.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program or have two years of nursing experience.
• Must be a registered nurse (RN).
• Have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of starting.
• Demonstrated patient- and family-centered care.
• Ability to coordinate and delegate within a nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Focus on patient and family needs.
• Develop and adjust nursing care plans for desired outcomes.
• Create a safe environment for patients, families, and staff, and help with emotional and physical pain.
• Incorporate diverse perspectives into care plans.
• Educate patients, families, staff, and community continuously.
• Evaluate and document learning progress.
• Collaborate with team to implement care plans and delegate tasks as needed.
• Solve problems efficiently using available resources and acknowledging limitations.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and contribute to community service.
