Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks an RN Float to coordinate patient care within our nursing model in Texas. You will assess patients, plan personalized care, and evaluate responses to health issues while delegating interventions to team members based on guidelines and patient condition.

Your role emphasizes patient safety, education, and continuous improvement, with opportunities for professional development and community service.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program or have two years of relevant RN experience.
• Main area of study in education should be nursing.
• Two years of nursing experience is required.
• Be a registered nurse (RN).
• Have BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Focus on patient and family needs.
• Develop and adjust nursing care plans for desired outcomes.
• Create a safe environment for patients, families, and staff; assist in pain management and healing.
• Educate patients, families, staff, and community on care plans and health topics.
• Evaluate and record learning progress and patient responses.
• Collaborate with the care team to implement the care plan and delegate tasks as needed.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and contribute to community service.
