Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an RN Float to support patient care across units, coordinating and delivering nursing services within our evidence-based model.

You will assess patients, develop care plans, delegate tasks, and educate families while upholding safety and quality standards. The role requires strong communication, critical thinking, and commitment to continuous professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program or have two years of relevant work experience.
• The main area of study in your education should be nursing.
• Two years of experience in nursing is required.
• You need to be a registered nurse.
• Have basic life support (BLS) certification or get it within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Focus on patient and family needs.
• Develop and adjust nursing care plans for desired outcomes.
• Create a safe place for patients, families, and staff; support healing.
• Incorporate diversity in care plans to meet individual needs.
• Patients, families, staff, and community will be educated continuously.
• Evaluate and record learning progress.
• Work with team to implement care plan and delegate tasks as needed.
• Solve problems efficiently, using available resources and acknowledging limitations.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and contribute to community service.
