Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Float Pool RN to support multiple inpatient units including Medical-Oncology, Surgical-Orthopedic, Cardiovascular, Progressive Care, Mental Health, and Acute Rehab. The role requires 2 years of inpatient hospital experience and an active Illinois RN license with BLS and ACLS credentials.

The RN will perform assessments, develop and adjust care plans, administer medications, and ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois IDFPR.
• ACLS within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care to integrate information for the healthcare team.
• Completes initial assessment on admission and develops an appropriate plan of care.
• Implements plan of care and nursing interventions; modifies plan based on evaluation.
• Provides post-operative care for complex surgical patients and contributes to discharge planning.
