Job summary

Nationwide-Children is seeking an RN to support Med/Surg Float Pool with a pathway to ICU Float Pool after required orientation, experience and shadowing. Night shift 7p–7a rotates with every 3rd weekend and includes one winter and one summer holiday requirement.

Pay starts at $36.90/hour and increases commensurate with experience. The role emphasizes rapid, safe patient movement through care episodes, professional nursing practice, and advocacy per ANA Code of Ethics with Ohio RN licensure

Qualifications

• BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification; willingness to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON as determined by manager.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs and communicates care priorities to LPNs, PCAs, unit coordinators and Allied Health staff.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence‑Based Practices.
• Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and families.
• Engages in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at meetings and reporting updates back.
• Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
