Job summary

Boone Health is seeking an ICU/PCU/ED float pool RN to provide direct patient care across inpatient units. The role requires 2+ years of recent ICU RN experience, with a night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

The position offers a full-time schedule (36 hours per week), a $20,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and free employee parking. The nurse will float to multiple units, participate in self-scheduling, and shadow a float nurse during the interview process.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate degree in nursing required.
• Minimum of two years of recent acute RN experience in the last three years in the specialty area.
• RN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families on illness/injury management, including post-treatment home care and medication administration.
• Floats to multiple inpatient units as needed, maintaining high-quality patient-centered care.
• Uses critical thinking to assess and address patients' physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
• Develops and implements plans of care with the healthcare team.
• Promotes patient- and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Assesses and modifies care plans based on patient response.
• Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities.
• Engages in professional development and lifelong learning.
