Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Med/Surg Float Pool with a path to the Critical Care ICU Float Pool. You will provide high-quality, family-centered nursing care, coordinate with LPNs, PCAs, and other staff, and pursue required ICU shadowing and externship steps.

The role requires a BSN or an associate with a commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years, Ohio RN licensure, and current CPR certification.

Formación

• BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification; willing to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other required certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs and communicates care priorities to assigned staff.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and families.
• Engages in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.
• Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
