Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Medical Float Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care across multiple inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Orthopedics, Cardiac, Neuro, and more. The Float RN will adapt to different workflows, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and advance professionally based on competency and organizational need.

Applicants must hold an accredited nursing program credential and a valid RN license in Arkansas or a compact state, with BLS

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in the state of Arkansas or a compact state.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Two (2) or more years of critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Maintain professional accountability for patient outcomes; monitor, evaluate, and coordinate care provided by other direct care staff.
• Collaborate with physicians, ancillary services, and support departments to ensure continuity of care.
• Uphold patient rights, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
• Adapt efficiently to varying unit workflows and patient acuity levels.
• Practice in accordance with Mercy policies, standards, and core values.

Education

Accredited nursing program completion

RN license in Arkansas or compact state

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Two+ years of critical care experience (preferred)
