Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Idaho's Treasure Valley seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Clinical Support Team (Float Pool). You will gain valuable experience across multiple inpatient specialties while practicing at our Level II Trauma Center in Boise and Level III Trauma Center in Nampa, caring for diverse patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes professional growth, ongoing education, and a supportive onboarding experience.

Qualifications

• You currently hold an Idaho or multistate RN license
• If you have a multistate license you would need to establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 6 months of hire
• You have your Basic Life Support
• You are willing to obtain your Advance Cardiovascular Life Support for HealthCare Provider (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care while serving as an advocate for both patients and families.
• Expand your clinical expertise by caring for a diverse patient population across multiple specialties and units.
• Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments to guide individualized patient care.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans that promote exceptional outcomes and patient-centered care.
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient progress and responding to changing needs.
• Educate patients and families to support recovery, wellness, and successful transitions of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and fellow caregivers to deliver coordinated care.
• Communicate patient status and care plans effectively through both verbal handoffs and clinical documentation.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Utilize clinical equipment and technology safely and effectively to support patient care.
• Practice within Idaho State Board of Nursing standards while upholding hospital policies and best practices.
