Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Neuro Step Down Unit at our Level II Trauma Center in Boise, Idaho. The role involves caring for post-operative and neuro-trauma patients in a 17-bed SDU, using advanced clinical skills and working within a state-of-the-art unit.

Required Idaho or multistate RN license with BLS; ACLS and PALS must be completed within designated timelines.

Qualifications

• BLS certification; ACLS and PALS required within designated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for neuro patients in a Level II Trauma Center and Level I Comprehensive Stroke Center.
• Care for neurological patients in a 17-bed Step Down Unit using advanced clinical skills.
• Monitor, stabilize and manage post-operative and trauma-related neurological cases (e.g., brain injuries, seizures, strokes).
• Deliver patient-centered care in a high-acuity unit with supporting resources and opportunities for skill growth.

What to expect

• Utilizing your skills in a Level II Trauma Center and a Level I Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Providing next level care for neurological patients in a state-of-the-art unit with the newest and most advanced technology and equipment
• Caring for post operative patients along with patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, seizures, strokes, and other neurological disorders
• Delivering high-quality nursing care in our 17-bed SDU, utilizing advanced clinical skills to assess, stabilize, and monitor patients

Qualifications

Idaho or multistate RN license (must establish Idaho residency within 6 months if applicable). BLS certification; ACLS and PALS required within designated timelines.
