Job Summary

As an RN Float, you are vital in healthcare, coordinating patient care based on our nursing model. You assess patients, plan personalized care, and evaluate responses to health issues. You keep patients safe by understanding their needs and the healthcare setting for smoother transitions. You delegate interventions to team members based on guidelines, patient condition, and team abilities. Your professionalism and experience help you make important recommendations that impact patient outcomes.

Essential Functions Of The Role
  • Focus on patient and family needs.
  • Develop and adjust nursing care plans for desired outcomes.
  • Create a safe environment for patients, families, and staff. Help with emotional and physical pain to aid healing.
  • Incorporate the unique perspectives and requirements of patients into care plans, embracing diversity.
  • Continuously educate patients, families, staff, and community.
  • Evaluate and record learning progress.
  • Work with team and community to implement care plans, delegate tasks as needed.
  • Solve problems efficiently, utilizing resources effectively and acknowledging limitations.
  • Seek professional development opportunities and contribute to community service.
Key Success Factors
  • Thorough knowledge of nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
  • Understanding relevant laws, rules, and regulations, including nursing care certifications and accreditations.
  • Knowledge of health promotion, risk reduction, illness and disease prevention, and management.
  • Effective communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer skills.
