Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop care plans with an interdisciplinary team, and administer medications safely. You will supervise nursing staff and educate patients and families on the care plan and procedures.

The role is full-time with a Day shift in Orlando, Florida. Requires Associate's in Nursing; RN license and BLS; Bachelor's preferred; 1+ year acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required
• RN license required (BLS)
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
• Pediatric ER Assess, Recog & Stabilization (PEARS) preferred
• Acute/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCNS) preferred
• Certified EKG Technician (CET) preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform and document accurate initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate patient conditions and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to address identified patient needs and goals.
• Administer medications accurately and appropriately as ordered, monitoring patient responses and adjusting interventions as necessary.
• Supervise and guide nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
• Provide patient and family education about the care plan, medications, procedures, and other relevant information to ensure under infection control protocols.
