Job summary

AdventHealth Palm Coast is seeking a registered nurse to join our inpatient team. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans with the interdisciplinary team, and administer medications while monitoring patient responses.

This full-time day-shift role emphasizes compassionate care, patient/family education, and staff collaboration in a high‑reliability environment. You'll float to appropriate departments as needed and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN license and active state license required.
• Proficient critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to float to appropriate departments.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document accurate initial and ongoing assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications accurately and monitor patient responses.
• Supervise nursing personnel and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Provide patient and family education about the care plan, medications, procedures.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures and tests.
• Monitor patient lab work and report abnormal results.
• Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Maintain infection control and a safe environment.
• Document care in the patient’s medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement and research activities.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with the healthcare team.
