Job summary

Corewell Health’s Gerber Hospital in Fremont, MI seeks a Float Nurse to cross-train across Med Surg, ICU, Emergency, and OB. The float pool offers broader skill development and a pay incentive for float work.

As part of the Staffing Office Float Pool, you will deliver nursing care per ANA standards, perform assessments, planning, and documentation, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff in a high‑quality patient‑centered environment. Full-time schedule, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing required.
• Bachelors in Nursing within 5 years required.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care per ANA standards and legally per the State of Michigan.
• Demonstrates nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Upholds ethical practice, communication, collaboration, and professional development.
• Strives to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
