Job summary

Kirby Medical Center in Monticello, IL is seeking a Float Registered Nurse to support the Emergency Department and float to Med/Surg, Surgery, and Quick Care as needed. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week with three 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, including rotating weekend and holiday coverage.

The Float RN provides direct and indirect acute patient care across units within the RN scope and responds quickly to changes in patient condition or treatment response.

Qualifications

• Current state Registered Nurse licensure.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect acute patient care within the RN scope of practice.
• Support staffing needs by floating to Med/Surg, Surgery and Quick Care with adequate supervision.

Job Summary:

The Float Registered Nurse (RN) is a flexible, highly skilled professional who provides direct and indirect acute patient care within the RN's scope of practice, across various hospital units or clinical settings, to provide additional staff support with staffing shortages or surges in high patient volumes. Can respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment. Additionally, can perform general nursing duties in all floated departments with adequate supervision.

Requirements

• Current state Registered Nurse Licensure.
