Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Internal Agency RN provides nursing care to acutely ill patients across NM hospitals, applying the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care. Assignments span NM hospital locations with typical six-week blocks and a maximum of six months at the same site.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of inpatient med/surg, stepdown or ICU experience.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• CPR – Basic Life Support certification.
• ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, develops an individualized plan, coordinates care delivery and evaluates progress.
• Directs care and utilizes any required assistive personnel appropriately.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff; documents the plan and communications.
• Participates in shared decision making and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses and updates the care plan; incorporates evidence-based practice.
