Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Pre-Post Units on an Internal Agency, full-time, days. The role supports inpatient care across NM hospitals with standard assignments and potential six-month max durations at a single location.

Qualifications

• Two years of inpatient med/surg, stepdown or ICU experience.
• Active Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• CPR – Basic Life Support.
• ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years.
• ACLS
• PALS

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies outcomes, develops and coordinates care.
• Directs care and utilizes any assistant involved in patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff to document plan and outcomes.
• Participates in shared decision making, committee work, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and documents care plans.
• Uses best available evidence to guide practice decisions.
