Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a clinically competent registered nurse for its Internal Agency RN team in the Emergency Department. This full-time night-shift position supports multiple NM hospital locations with assignments spanning across facilities.

Minimum two years inpatient med/surg/stepdown or ICU experience, IL RN license, BLS/ACLS/TNCC or TNCC, and a plan to obtain BSN within three years are required. NM offers competitive benefits and background checks where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of inpatient med/surg, stepdown or ICU experience.
• CPR – Basic Life Support
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of first day in clinical nurse role.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, develops and implements an individualized plan, coordinates care delivery and evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Directs care and utilizes any assistant involved in direct patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family and health team; creates a documented plan focused on outcomes.
• Participates in shared decision making, committee work, and unit projects.
• Evaluates and documents patient responses to nursing interventions and updates care plan.
