Job summary

Alden Terrace of McHenry Rehabilitation and Health Care Center is seeking qualified LPNs and RNs to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants in a small, community-based setting.

We offer part-time and full-time positions with flexible scheduling around school or personal commitments, tuition reimbursement, and a generous referral bonus program to grow together with our team.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN or LPN in Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
• Must possess current CPR certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Demonstrates interest and/or knowledge in care of the aged.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Must be able to interact tactfully with customers, family, visitors, and staff.
• Must have leadership and supervisory ability and collaborate well with others.
• Be personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants.
• Ensure nursing procedures follow policies and regulations.
• Develop and follow a written plan of care for each resident.
• Attend care plan conferences and participate in ongoing education.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes and MARs consistent with policies.
• Conduct daily rounds to monitor nursing duties and patient conditions.
• Create a warm, calm department atmosphere and teamwork across shifts.
