Job summary

Qualifications

• California RN license required.
• BSN or MSN required.
• RNFA education/certification completed.
• CNOR certification.
• Minimum 2 years RNFA perioperative/OR experience in complex procedures.
• BLS certification from Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Ability to circulate, scrub, and first assist.
• Advanced knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy and aseptic technique.
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during complex procedures.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible and able to take required call.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to function independently in high acuity surgical environments.

Provides advanced perioperative nursing care for complex surgical procedures, functioning as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse and first assistant as appropriate to the procedure and scope of practice. Collaborates closely with surgeons and the multidisciplinary surgical team to anticipate procedural needs, provides advanced intraoperative assistance, and promote safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Serves as a clinical resource for complex cases and supports the education and mentoring of perioperative nursing staff

Qualifications

We're seeking a highly, self-motivated nursing professional who is ready to join our team with:

Required:

• Current valid California RN License
• BSN or MSN
• Completion of formal RN First Assistant (RNFA) education/certification
• CNOR Certification
• Minimum 2 years of RNFA perioperative/operating room nursing experience, with experience in complex surgical procedures.
• BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart association
• Demonstrated competency in circulating, scrubbing and first assisting.
• Advanced knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, anatomy and aseptic technique
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during complex procedures
• Strong clinical judgement, critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible and able to take required call.
• Ability to push, pull, lift, up to 35 lbs
