Job summary

• CNOR Certification.
• Minimum 2 years of RNFA perioperative/operating room nursing experience, with complex procedures.
• BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Competency in circulating, scrubbing and first assisting.
• Advanced knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, anatomy and aseptic technique.
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon and team during complex procedures.
• Strong clinical judgement, critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible and able to take required call.
• Ability to push, pull, lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to function independently in high acuity surgical environments.

Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Provides advanced perioperative nursing care for complex surgical procedures, functioning as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse and first assistant as appropriate to the procedure and scope of practice. Collaborates closely with surgeons and the multidisciplinary surgical team to anticipate procedural needs, provides advanced intraoperative assistance, and promote safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Serves as a clinical resource for complex cases and supports the education and mentoring of perioperative nursing staff

Job Qualifications
