Job summary

Providence is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to collaborate with the surgeon and perioperative team to ensure safe operations and optimal patient outcomes in the Napa, CA area.

The role requires CA RN license, BLS certification, and at least 3 years as an OR RN, with preference for RNFA experience and a Bachelor’s in Nursing. Endoscopic vein/artery harvesting experience is a plus, with strong teamwork and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of didactics of university based course in first assisting.
• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of endoscopic vein artery harvesting course.
• Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 3 years as an RN in the Operating Room.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the surgeon and the healthcare team to perform a safe operation with optimal outcomes for the patient.
• Renders direct patient care as part of the perioperative role assisting the surgeon in the surgical treatment of the patient.
• Performs duties within approved standardized procedures under direct supervision.
