Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a qualified RN First Assistant to deliver safe, effective perioperative care. The role includes assisting in operative procedures and supporting the perioperative continuum, with duties as an RN circulator when required.

The position requires a nursing degree, CNOR, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, plus perioperative RN or RNFA experience. Sign-on bonus available and Georgia licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program (didactic and clinical components).
• Two years perioperative RN or RNFA experience; if CVOR, three years as RN or Surgical Tech in CVOR.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and perioperative services.
• Functions as RN first assistant during operative procedures and perioperative continuum.
• May serve as RN circulator in the OR as needed.
• Maintain scope of practice credentials, privileges, experience, and competency verification.
