Job summary

Mercy Hospital Ada is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Family Birthplace team on nights. You will care for mothers and newborns across labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent outcomes.

The role offers a 36-hour week schedule, Day-one benefits, and strong professional development within a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure in Oklahoma.
• Current RN license in Oklahoma or compact state.
• Completion of Mercy-required competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns through labour, delivery, postpartum and newborn care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Monitor maternal/fetal well-being and respond to changes promptly.
• Administer medications and nursing interventions per orders.
• Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants, and the healthcare team.
• Educate families on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation.
• Advocate for patient safety and a positive birth experience.
• Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission and service standards.
