Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide skilled bedside care, following physician orders and established guidelines while upholding the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a Georgia RN license in good standing, and possess a current BLS certification. BSN degree and additional life-support certifications are preferred; 2 years of RN experience is also preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold BLS certification.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two years of RN experience preferred.
• Additional life support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP) or other unit-specific certs.
• Color acuity may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Adhere to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
