Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines. The role requires GA RN licensure, BLS and a BSN is preferred, with potential for ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications.

Expect 7p-7a shifts and weekend requirements. Candidates should be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and maintain licensure in good standing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• BSN degree preferred; two years RN experience; additional life support or specialty certifications; color vision as required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and guidelines.
• Works within scope defined by Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Assists in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.

Education

RN license in GA

BSN degree (preferred)

BLS certification

ACLS/PALS/NRP or other life support certs (preferred)

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
